First Aid at Work (3 Day)
Want to be an effective and confident ‘first aider’ in the workplace? Attend this 3 day course and learn how to treat a variety of first aid situations including: workplace legislation, responsibilities of the first aider, the unconscious casualty, CPR and AED, choking, wounds and bleeding, minor burns, foreign objects, Epilepsy, Stroke, Asthma, Heart Attack and many more conditions.
Course Overview
Dealing with first aid emergencies can be a daunting prospect for an untrained employee, but after attending a Fat Panda First Aid Training course you will feel more confident in handling these situations.
This course combines first aid theory, legislation, with numerous practical skill sessions. Smaller groups allow time for more individual training as required, we make it interesting, enjoyable and fun, whilst building your confidence.
We use all the latest quality training equipment. Our resuscitation manikins are equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing both the trainer and trainee to check for correct depth and compression rates along with adequate lung expansion during the practical CPR sessions, which can be viewed on the big screen to help with debriefing.
This course will also incorporate aspects of Paediatric Basic Life Support.

A comprehensive fully illustrated training book to supplement the Emergency First Aid at Work course is included in your training pack.
This is a Level 3 Course.
Certificate is valid for 3 Years.
This course lasts 3 days.

The course Instructor is responsible for determining whether delegates pass or fail based on practical and oral assessment throughout the course, i.e. by observation and oral questioning. The Instructor will only award a pass if they believe that delegates have displayed the requisite understanding and competencies at the end of each session throughout the day.
There is a written test at the end of Day 3.

The HSE require 18hrs contact training hours for this course, which is delivered over 3 days within a 10 week period.
Delegates must attend all sessions during each day to be eligible for successful assessment, which is done by continuous observation and questioning during the course. There is also a written test paper at the end of Day 3.
All employees who wish to become enhanced qualified First Aiders in the workplace.
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Level 3 (RQF) First Aid at Work Certificate, which is valid for three years. This course is Regulated by Ofqual under their Regulated Quality Framework (RQF) and accredited by the FAA. All our courses are designed to follow the guidelines set by the Health & Safety Executive and Resuscitation Council UK.
