This programme has been specifically designed to coincide with health education lessons taught in secondary schools, following the government’s announcement to make health education compulsory from Sept 2020
Dealing with first aid emergencies can be a daunting prospect for an untrained young person, but after attending a Fat Panda Student First Aid Training course you will feel more confident in handling these situations.
This 3 hour course contains a combination of theory and practical elements. Smaller groups allow time for more individual training as required, we make it interesting, enjoyable and fun, whilst building your confidence.
We use all the latest quality training equipment. Our resuscitation manikins are equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing both the trainer and trainee to check for correct depth, compression rates, along with adequate lung expansion in babies and small children. This information is viewed live during the practical CPR sessions.

Certificate is valid for 3 Years.
This course lasts 3 hours.
Student at secondary school.
The course Instructor is responsible for determining whether delegates pass or fail based on practical and oral assessment throughout the course, i.e. by observation and oral questioning. The Instructor will only award a pass if they believe that delegates have displayed the requisite understanding and competencies at the end of each session throughout the day. There is a multiple choice question paper assessment at the end of the course.

Frequently Asked Questions
The HSE require 3 hours contact training hours for this course.
Delegates must attend all sessions during the 3 hours, to be eligible for successful assessment, which is done by continuous observation and questioning during the course. There is also a short multiple choice written paper at the end of the course.
Students attending secondary schooling.
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Level 2(RQF) Student First Aid Certificate, which is valid for three years. This course is Regulated by Ofqual under their Regulated Quality Framework (RQF) and accredited by the FAA. All our courses are designed to follow the guidelines set by the Health & Safety Executive and Resuscitation Council UK. It has also been designed to coincide with the health education lessons taught in secondary schools.
